Sursystem Magazine 08 - Sound Map of Salsa Music in NYC is a project that originated during the summer of 2022 through the Open Air College program by the Brooklyn Library. Inspired by the history of salsa music in New York City, the Sursystem Collective created a sound map to showcase its origins and evolution. This project soon evolved into the publication of Sursystem Magazine 08. A multi-page publication featuring the Sound Map centerfold. The magazine is currently in New York City and can be acquired at different pop-ups this summer.
